New $60 Transport Voucher Announced in Singapore for 2025 — Expanded Support to Tackle Rising Travel Expenses

The Government of Singapore has launched a new S$60 transport voucher program in 2025 to help lower-income households deal with increasing commuting expenses. This support aims to work alongside the upcoming fare changes & keep public transport affordable for everyone living in Singapore. If your household meets the income requirements this voucher can help you manage your travel costs more effectively.  Who Can Get the Transport Voucher The program targets households that need financial assistance the most. To qualify your household must meet specific income limits set by the government. These criteria ensure that the vouchers reach families who struggle with daily transport expenses. Lower-income residents who already receive other forms of government assistance may automatically qualify for this program. The authorities will assess eligibility based on household income levels & the number of family members. If you are unsure whether you qualify you can check with the relevant government agencies or visit their official websites for detailed information.

Understanding Singapore’s New $60 Transport Voucher Scheme for 2025

Under this program, qualifying households will get a single voucher worth S$60 to help reduce the effect of increased transport costs. The voucher belongs to the entire household instead of one person so several family members can use it with shared travel cards or monthly passes. Households qualify when each person earns no more than S$1800 per month. People can collect the voucher through the SimplyGo app or at designated kiosks starting in late December 2025.

How Singaporean Families Can Benefit from the New Transport Voucher

The S$60 voucher provides households with practical help during a time of increasing expenses. It allows families to add value to their travel cards or buy monthly passes. This gives immediate support when the fare increase begins on 27 December 2025. The voucher can be shared among household members and remains valid until 31 March 2027. This means families can plan their travel needs flexibly. Both elderly relatives & young working adults in the household can use it.
